About Pryorify

Pryorify is a professional access marketplace built around a simple idea: your attention has value.

It was created by Posh Tonic after years spent experiencing both sides of professional outreach. We know what it is like to have a legitimate reason to contact somebody and no sensible way of reaching them. We also know what it is like to open an inbox full of sales pitches and have no reliable way of knowing which one might actually be worth reading.

Pryorify brings those two sides together.

For contacts, it creates a controlled way to receive professional enquiries from people who have deliberately chosen to approach you, without publishing your personal email address or opening another unrestricted channel for cold outreach.

Your inbox was never designed for this

Email is extraordinarily good at delivering messages.

It is considerably less good at telling you which messages deserve your time.

If you are a founder, executive, investor, buyer, journalist, creator, consultant or recognised specialist in your field, you may receive a constant stream of people asking for something.

Some are relevant.

Some are not.

Some have spent an hour researching you before writing.

Others have inserted your first name into an automated sequence and sent essentially the same message to another thousand people.

From the subject line alone, it can be surprisingly difficult to tell the difference.

The problem is not outreach itself

There is nothing inherently wrong with somebody approaching you professionally.

Many valuable relationships begin that way.

A new supplier can save a company money. A founder may have a product genuinely suited to your organisation. A journalist may have an interesting commission. A business may want to hire you, collaborate with you, invest with you or introduce you to something you would never otherwise have discovered.

The problem is volume.

When access to somebody's inbox costs nothing, there is very little incentive for senders to be selective.

The result is predictable. People send more messages, automation makes that easier, response rates fall, and everybody sends even more.

Eventually, the useful enquiry and the meaningless one arrive looking almost exactly alike.

Pryorify was built to change that dynamic.

A different signal

When somebody contacts you through Pryorify, they have made a deliberate choice.

They have searched for you specifically. They have submitted an enquiry through a professional marketplace rather than obtaining your email address from a database. The approach has passed through the platform rather than arriving as another piece of unsolicited inbox traffic.

Most importantly, the system recognises something conventional cold outreach often ignores:

reading and considering somebody else's proposition takes time.

Pryorify gives that time a value.

That does not mean you are being paid to agree with somebody, buy something or continue a conversation.

You are being compensated for giving a genuine professional enquiry proper consideration and providing a considered response within 72 hours.

Sometimes that response will be yes.

Sometimes it will be no.

Sometimes it may simply be that the timing is wrong.

All three are useful answers.

Why LinkedIn stopped solving the problem

LinkedIn created an extraordinary global directory of professional people.

It also made those people extraordinarily easy to pitch.

For anyone with a visible role, a successful business or an interesting professional profile, the result can be a steady stream of connection requests, InMail and sales messages.

We experience this ourselves.

Many are completely irrelevant. Some offer us services we already provide. Others clearly come from automated campaigns whose targeting never went much further than a job title or industry filter.

After enough of those messages, the natural response is not to become better at reading them.

It is to stop reading them.

That is bad for the sender with something genuinely interesting to say, but it is also bad for the recipient. Somewhere inside the noise may be a partnership, product, investment, opportunity or introduction they would actually have wanted to see.

Pryorify is designed to create a separate lane for those approaches.

What Pryorify is

Pryorify is a marketplace for professional access.

Contacts create a profile and decide how they want to be approached. Senders can then find relevant professionals and submit a focused enquiry without needing access to that person's private email address.

The purpose is not to sell somebody's contact information.

Quite the opposite.

Pryorify allows professionals to remain reachable without making their personal contact information the product.

For the sender, it offers a legitimate route to the right person.

For the contact, it offers more control over who gets their attention and creates a reason for senders to think carefully before asking for it.

Built from both sides of the problem

Pryorify is a Posh Tonic initiative.

We created it because we were simultaneously experiencing both sides of modern professional outreach.

In our own businesses and client work, we sometimes knew exactly who we wanted to contact but could find no reasonable route to them.

Meanwhile, our own inboxes and LinkedIn accounts were filling with approaches from people who could easily reach us but had apparently spent almost no time deciding whether they should.

That contradiction became the basis for Pryorify.

The internet has made professional people remarkably easy to identify.

What it has not solved is how to make the resulting communication worthwhile.

We think access works better when both sides have something invested in the conversation.

Why Posh Tonic handles payments

Because Pryorify is a Posh Tonic initiative, payments are processed through Posh Tonic's official Stripe infrastructure.

This keeps the financial side of the marketplace within an established business account and provides a secure foundation for payments between the different sides of the Pryorify platform.

Pryorify can therefore remain focused on the thing it was built for in the first place: helping worthwhile professional enquiries rise above the noise.
