Cold outreach has stopped working. What replaces it?
Cold outreach stopped working because sending a message became free while reading one never did, so recipients defend their attention by ignoring almost everything. What replaces it is paid access: you send one screened enquiry to a named person and pay only if they give you a considered reply.
Why volume stopped working
Sequencing tools made it trivial to send thousands of near identical messages a week, and every sender got the same idea at the same time. The result is an arms race where the cost of sending is close to zero and the cost of reading keeps rising.
Senders responded by sending more. Recipients responded by filtering harder, muting notifications, handing their inbox to an assistant or simply never replying. Neither side is behaving unreasonably. The economics are just wrong.
What a working alternative has to do
- Put a real cost on the sender's side, so only people with something worth saying bother.
- Give the recipient a reason to read, rather than another obligation.
- Guarantee that the sender gets something in return, or gets their money back.
- Keep contact details private, so nothing leaks into a list.
How Pryorify works
You search for the person you want to reach and see their price before you write. You send one enquiry. Your card is authorised, not charged. If they give a considered reply within 72 hours, the payment is taken and they keep 95% of it. If they do not, the hold is released and you pay nothing.
A reasoned no counts as a reply, because a clear no is often the most valuable answer you can get. A one word brush off does not.
When it is the wrong tool
If you do not yet know who you need to speak to, this is not the right starting point. Do the research first, then send one enquiry to the right person. If you need a broad audience rather than one specific answer, advertising or content will serve you better.
Reach the right person
Search for the person you need, send one enquiry and pay only if they reply properly within 72 hours.
