How do I reach a decision maker without buying a contact list?
Buying a contact list gets you a stale address and no permission, which is why response rates keep falling and complaints keep rising. The direct route is to pay the person for their consideration: one screened enquiry to a named individual, with the payment taken only if they give a considered reply.
The three routes people try
- A bought list. Cheap, decaying at roughly a third a year, and legally awkward in the UK and the EU.
- A social platform. Free to try, but priced advertising and message limits mean your note sits behind everyone else's.
- An introduction. The best option when you have one, and useless when you do not.
Ask the person, not the algorithm
On Pryorify you search for the person by name, company or role. If they are on the platform you see their price, their response window and how often they answer. You write one enquiry, your card is held, and the money only moves if they reply substantively within 72 hours.
If they are not on the platform yet, you can register your interest and we will invite them. Nobody is listed without their say so, and no profile publishes personal contact details.
Write an enquiry that gets answered
- Say who you are and why you are writing to this person specifically, in the first two lines.
- Ask one clear question that can be answered in a few paragraphs.
- Say what you will do with the answer.
- Leave out attachments, decks and calendar links.
